16:31 Quinn_Patrick: That was interesting. Still figuring out the metagame with refills on levels. I spent some time walking around looking for a grind before realizing I could just dive Charlock and not worry about it.

16:32 juef: Yes, I really wanted the flute for the DL2 fight, and looked for it specifically after getting everything. I finished at L14 I think
16:33 juef: It was the Final Fantasy prologue. It's loooooooooong!
16:33 Quinn_Patrick: Oh, I didn't realize the flute also worked on DL2.

16:34 juef: Yeah, Flute options are: "Golem", "Everything but DL2", and "Everything". It makes for a super long DL2 fight though
16:34 Quinn_Patrick: I also had some run-ins with the law. Got runblocked 3 times by a red! That's very unlucky with these mechanics!
16:35 juef: Indeed, I had that happen too but just once. When I got the flute, I stopped worrying about it
16:36 Quinn_Patrick: Was it coords or hauks? I never found hauks, but I did find Cantlin but at that point I had everything I needed so I just grabbed a large shield and bounced.
16:36 juef: It was in Hawks, which was just a bit East of Staff of Rain cave
16:37 juef: I didn't find Cantlin so I finished shieldless 😅
16:38 Quinn_Patrick: Ah. The reason why that red dragon death had me so perturbed is because I had picked up a couple goldmen, and I had grabbed a bunch of gold out of garinham, so I was really close to affording a silver.

16:39 juef: Oh interesting. When I saw there wasn't a gold grind, I figured it was mostly hopeless to buy one
16:40 juef: Actually, thinking about it, I think the only gear I bought was a Half Plate, which ended up being an Erdrick's Armor manip
