16:58 Materia Steele: Yeah. I was building up the red mage when the nuke was shown, so I had to either grind or look for tail.

16:59 Materia Steele: I also went thief, but when I first pulled the warmechs, I felt confident about taking them, so I made three attempts.

17:00 DarkmoonEX: so I went class change after Floater, then Katana on Thief, Vorpal on RM, stopped checking chests once I found ribbons for sale, and then I was just looking for the chest with an x
17:00 Materia Steele: So, I stalled, because I got really close on my first attempt. The Evilmen didn't show Blizzard go one.
17:00 DarkmoonEX: Sky was my first check, and when I bounced off the box I went to Hall of Dragons, ground the 34, cleared it on my second
17:00 Materia Steele: I had Floater at 19.
17:00 Materia Steele: So I was flying all over.
17:01 DarkmoonEX: I had floater at... 15, but I sat on Agamas at the frwolf spot cuz they had frost. I ground to 22 until they killed me

17:01 Materia Steele: Sky was also my first after floater, but like I said, I was feeling confident after my first attempt against the mechs went well.
17:01 Materia Steele: I also assume you probably got Kary.
17:01 DarkmoonEX: I didn't think I needed to go to 50. I just knew if all teh Evils got Blizzard off, I needed more health
17:02 Materia Steele: I got hit with a Poison that bounced me out of Volcano, so I went to do Ice instead and got the floater. So had base EXP gain.
17:02 DarkmoonEX: first round Lit3 from Thief, Holy from RM. That killed all the Evils. Then I buffed until RM was dead, popped a heal, and started swinging. Two swings on one Mech, one on the other, they were both dead
17:02 Materia Steele: Yeah, like I said, I thought I was good until the Nuke dropped.
17:02 Materia Steele: I also didn't have the Ninja spells.
17:02 DarkmoonEX: I went to Volc, died three times ( Bulls had stone touch), bounced out of Ice (Images at Toxic), cleared Volc, Cleared Ice, was rollin

17:03 DarkmoonEX: so luck saved me, apparently. If you hadn't gotten Nuked, you'd have won
17:03 Materia Steele: I only took the death in Volc (that wasn't intentional to save time).
17:03 Materia Steele: And then yeah... took three attempts at the Warmechs unpromoted.
17:03 Materia Steele: Had I kept going, that would have been it.
17:03 DarkmoonEX: oh yeah, I only did one. Promo was not-optional, IMO
17:04 Materia Steele: It was optional for me til the nuke.
17:04 Materia Steele: Cause Fade could clear the Evilmen.
17:04 Materia Steele: I was also only like, level 20.
17:04 DarkmoonEX: not enough good spells. All it woulda taken was all the EvilMen getting turn order and there was no way to Man Mode unpromoted through that fight

17:04 Materia Steele: It would clear them with the Black Shirt cast from the Thief.
17:04 DarkmoonEX: I suppose I coulda done Ice Shirt plus Holy. Didn't think of that
17:05 DarkmoonEX: yeah... didn't occur to me. I was past the shirt at that point
17:05 Materia Steele: Yeah, that's the strat I was going with.
17:05 Materia Steele: And it was fine, until the nuke. Then it was I either need to grind, or to get Tail. And I opted for Tail.
17:06 DarkmoonEX: Warmeech punched by Thief through x4 evade so I think bare luck woulda been needed. But I also got lucky as the Warmechs were trying to punch and failing most of the time. I didn't even see the Poison on my second fight

17:06 Materia Steele: Yeah, I probably had it in one more attempt. I was down to one mech and then the nuke high rolled.

17:08 Materia Steele: The blizzards were doing piddly damage cause I was already double-ribbon.
17:08 Materia Steele: So I wasn't concerned unless they got turn order.
17:09 Materia Steele: Yeah... a little more fear, I'd have picked everything up and probably had it.
17:09 DarkmoonEX: I had double ribbons, too, but the chip damage still added up
17:09 Materia Steele: Alright, time to address this OBS crash and then make sure I can get over the line at marathon.
17:09 DarkmoonEX: that plus the Warmech Poisons was enough to finish me

17:10 Materia Steele: Oh yeah, they got the 3/265 stun on one of my attempts too.
