- 19:21 Niamek: So a 17:30 is doable for me. In fact, SoB is 17:22
- 19:21 GrimmFairy: That was my best stage 8 and 10 in a while. Died on the boss in 6.

- 19:21 Halfbeasty: Also technically an 18:38, but the game only stays on the start screen for like 2 seconds and then completely reboots which takes like 12 seconds??

- 19:22 Niamek: It stays on that screen for 4ish seconds
- 19:22 Niamek: So when the timer is at 4, I press start ot go to the title screen
- 19:22 opkid1: Yeah I usually chill in the intro cutscene during the bulk of the countdown lol
- 19:22 Halfbeasty: Ye, I pressed start on about 4~5 seconds
- 19:23 Halfbeasty: It rebooted like half a second before the actual start
- 19:23 GrimmFairy: Yeah, I made that mistake the other day

- 19:23 Asmodemus: I skipped at -3 even, just somewhere around there is good
- 19:23 GrimmFairy: Actually practiced it a little, hitting start during the cutscene at 2 seconds is fine, so is 3 seconds on the countdown
- 19:23 GrimmFairy: Thgat gives you enough time to get to the start screen without it restarting the intro

- 19:24 Halfbeasty: Looking at this race though, I feel like Ninja's alone have close to 10 people who can sub 18 XD Top 10 might legit be low 17s if everyone plays well

- 19:25 Niamek: But I'm not sure if I want to go even harder to low 17s
- 19:25 opkid1: same. 1ish death should give me a 17:xx. deathless would be low 17 into 16
- 19:25 Niamek: Don't really know what I can change except improving bosses.
- 19:25 Niamek: Oh right the deaths. My SoB includes some deaths too I believe.
- 19:25 GrimmFairy: Yeah, I actually don't know what will be the top 10 cut-off. I feel like it could be anywhere from low 18's to high 16's even

- 19:26 opkid1: There is a lot of room for blow ups and variance in this game
- 19:26 GrimmFairy: Yeah, my SoB is 16:29 right now
- 19:26 Niamek: Oh yeah the 2nd boss RNG messed me up big
- 19:26 Niamek: And I even Gold that one
- 19:26 Niamek: Easily 30 seconds savable there
- 19:26 Halfbeasty: A perfect run for me would be high 16/low 17, but I haven't been close to perfect yet

- 19:26 GrimmFairy: I'll take a few extra seconds near the end of 2 to make sure I have beam sword for the boss because that cuts down on the chances of you losing time to rng

- 19:27 Niamek: Becasue I do annd it's pretty consistent
- 19:27 Niamek: Ther eis just ONE jump that is annoying because it could eat your input because of lag
- 19:27 GrimmFairy: Yeah, I do, I just struggle with it eating inputs sometimes

- 19:27 opkid1: so my stage 2 f-up was losing beam at the start to a porcupine lmao

- 19:28 Niamek: Also note that jumping on slopes saves time
- 19:28 GrimmFairy: So I try and just play it safe because I've lost like 45 seconds to bad rng on that boss without beam sword before
- 19:28 Halfbeasty: Ouch, that one is costly XD
- 19:28 Niamek: So if you can jump on slopes, you should do so.
- 19:28 Asmodemus: Is that both up and down slopes?
- 19:28 Niamek: Up slopes
- 19:28 Halfbeasty: I'm somehow super consistent on stage 2. I keep messing up the lake skip jump on stage 1 though XD
- 19:29 Niamek: The lake skip isn't really a time save I believe because the speed is the same
- 19:29 Niamek: Maybe it's different for the lag
- 19:29 Asmodemus: swimming is definitely slower than jumping
- 19:29 GrimmFairy: I do that once in a while, it does save a few seconds, but it's not super noticeable
- 19:29 Halfbeasty: Swimming that lake costs about 4 seconds
- 19:29 GrimmFairy: It's like... 3 seconds I think? Which adds up in the long run
- 19:29 Halfbeasty: Compared to jumping it
- 19:29 Niamek: Oh yeah my bad I meant
- 19:29 Niamek: Swimming is as fast as walking.
- 19:29 Niamek: I was wrong.
- 19:30 Niamek: I messed that part.
