- 22:16 shadyforce: I just did houlihan and a bunch of tree pulls and basically did zora with sunken sword
- 22:16 oneup: did sunken sword first thing, then 7 tree pulls while grabbing moon pearl
- 22:17 oneup: kill the crow outside the hideout, in/out from the hideout, pull the tree, lather rinse repeat
- 22:17 shadyforce: main annoyance was not having that swrd to kill enemies quicker to reset the tree pull
- 22:18 Qirn: I did tree pull in kak village house on the way to magic bat, then tree pull when I grabbed moon pearl, and then 300 on stumpy

- 22:18 Qirn: I also forgot magic for magic bat... for like the third time in a spoiler race lol

- 22:20 oneup: I screwed up my mirror route so I had to scramble to fix it on the fly
- 22:21 oneup: originally planned to walk from VOO, get flips from GYL, then do zora
- 22:21 oneup: and realized that wasn't gonna work
- 22:21 shadyforce: did you guys grab castle heart containers?
- 22:21 shadyforce: I did that on my way to a couple of tree pulls there, but in hindsight that prob cost a lot of time
- 22:21 oneup: nope, just the ones off blind and top of pod maze
- 22:21 shadyforce: I skipped pod maze though
- 22:22 shadyforce: but yeah pod maze, even lampless, is probably faster than map chest in castle
- 22:22 shadyforce: so yeah bad call on my end I think
- 22:22 shadyforce: guess that might be a chunk of our difference
- 22:22 oneup: did anybody else grab lamp? it was right at my threshold of going out of the way to grab
- 22:22 shadyforce: I considered it but skipped it
- 22:23 shadyforce: I saw I was getting byrna from moth, so I could clutch out mire basement
- 22:23 oneup: yeah that was a surprise to me lol

- 22:23 shadyforce: if no safety item for mire basement, I think I would have eaten the time loss for safety
- 22:23 shadyforce: having died there recently in a prac race
- 22:23 oneup: came in handy for ganon because I hate that phase 2 spot
- 22:23 oneup: I need to learn the phase 2 dash strats
- 22:24 shadyforce: I died in Ganon because my 2nd slash was too low and I literally just walked into him lol

- 22:24 shadyforce: I still do non dash strats for all positions
- 22:24 shadyforce: I'm fairly comfortable with them by now
- 22:24 shadyforce: prob will never learn dash strats unless I start running no eg or smth dumb haha
- 22:25 shadyforce: but that will mean learning to hover too hmmmm
- 22:25 oneup: I've never been able to figure out a nondash strat for that position
- 22:25 oneup: the other three I can do, but that one always trips me up
- 22:27 shadyforce: I do double spin and slash, then 2 slashes, charge sword and hook invul for another double spin, then hook to the pod and 2 more slashes
- 22:27 shadyforce: ugh I missed an extra double spin in there

- 22:28 shadyforce: double spin and slash for end of phase 1, then double spin -> 2 slashes -> charge sword + hook invul for another double spin -> hook to safety -> 2 more slashes

- 22:31 shadyforce: yeah, and I do very similar for centre right rng, except I hookshot up into the air instead of against the torch for when the firebats are converging again
- 22:31 shadyforce: haveing said that, the people who do dash strats make them look super duper easy and free so can't advise against dash strats either
- 22:31 oneup: center right I just do slashes and line up so that the recoil pushes me into the torch
- 22:32 oneup: doesn't work on left side though because the ring passes between ganon and torch
- 22:32 shadyforce: yeah... although it might work if you get face down Ganon on centre left? I can't remember exactly
- 22:33 shadyforce: I do a mirror of what I do for centre right if I get face down centre left and it also works well enough
- 22:33 oneup: probably
- 22:33 oneup: I rarely get that though, but it always throws me for a loop when I do get it
- 22:33 shadyforce: I get it often enough, which is probably safer because I can actually practice handling it lol
