- 23:27 shadyforce: I did a tier 2 after uncle, then south to mini moldorm/etc

- 23:28 shadyforce: I did spiral -> hookshot cave -> spec, that felt the better order for me
- 23:28 VortexofDoom: I figured the boots didn't save 12s
- 23:28 Telethar: yeah I had a few things I really didn't like about my route. I just did lost woods -> kak -> uncle -> mmc

- 23:28 VortexofDoom: I climbed superbunny and got that magic
- 23:28 Telethar: I went right past GYL during catfish
- 23:28 VortexofDoom: yeah I realized the same thing
- 23:28 VortexofDoom: GYL is sneaky slow though
- 23:28 shadyforce: yeah I needed superbunny magic for skull too
- 23:29 Telethar: I delayed the swamp sword so I put SW off as well
- 23:29 shadyforce: GYL is ok but I suspect slower than spec, plus you don't have tempered for moth
- 23:29 Telethar: but then I forgot to grab the money in kak well so I couldn't get my zora bow
- 23:29 Telethar: so I had to swing by hype cave before pod/ep anyway, which felt bad
- 23:29 shadyforce: plus plus, you can't do water walk after skull to get to hammer
- 23:29 VortexofDoom: yeah I would have put off dam if I didn't need anything in MMC
- 23:29 VortexofDoom: and done the portal save into EP
- 23:30 Telethar: ah the water walk instead of Qirn jump is nice
- 23:30 VortexofDoom: silvers for EP/PoD, lamp for PoD (well I still would have forgotten it)
- 23:31 VortexofDoom: I think being able to single dip hype/swamp area saved a solid chunk for me
- 23:31 VortexofDoom: probably roughly a zora's worth
- 23:31 shadyforce: yeah I think the hype bow was just slower for me
- 23:31 shadyforce: zora was the play
- 23:31 Telethar: I have never timed it, if keys are friendly which side of GT is faster
- 23:31 VortexofDoom: It seems silly to skip but it's probably justifiable
- 23:32 VortexofDoom: right side is hypothetically faster
- 23:32 shadyforce: people say right side is faster but I flat out don't believe them
- 23:32 shadyforce: nobody is actually good at right side

- 23:32 Telethar: I also needed the arrows from the warp maze lol
- 23:33 VortexofDoom: I'm glad I didn't get torch heart, that might have almost been the difference
- 23:33 Telethar: lots of hearts were pretty free this seed, I planned to get torch heart and then when I actually saw it I was like "I have way too much hp already. No thanks"
- 23:33 shadyforce: I got torch but mainly so I could dmg boots in the spike rom upstairs
- 23:33 VortexofDoom: I like the heart neutral strat
- 23:34 VortexofDoom: it would have been my 9th and that felt excessive
- 23:34 shadyforce: also I fluffed cycle 3 in aga 2, got a 4-cyc, that could also be the difference

- 23:34 Telethar: yeah you two were so close anything could have been the difference

- 23:35 shadyforce: though it made vitty very safe
- 23:35 shadyforce: oh I didn't even go into the well

- 23:36 VortexofDoom: but yeah the 300 seemed solid with byrna there too
- 23:36 shadyforce: even though I lost, I kinda wish this was our tourney race instead of the actual one lol
