- 01:26 adirondackrick: Not sure what was the difference in times but I'm guessing some people here didn't go back into GT
- 01:28 Drac: I hit a really good early route, had mirror, pearl, boots and flute at like 25 minutes, and when I found CT I had both keys and just cleared it, so even had to do minimal backtracking for glovelocked spots, everything just fell into place for me in this one

- 01:29 Drac: did EP area as one of my first plays so I had mirror, then ended up following a connector chain->spiral cave->paradox cave->hookshot cave into outcasts area and just went south from there
- 01:30 Drac: and I had the one pod key from zelda's cell at that point to open the front door
- 01:30 adirondackrick: Right ... so I'm guessing you saw elder connector at Dark Lumber and said "not checking"
- 01:31 Drac: I actually went through that one, but it took me forever to get there
- 01:32 Drac: cause I didn't drop down bumper cave, I took the other paradox exit which was in mire area
- 01:32 adirondackrick: Oh...
- 01:32 Drac: and then went through HS cave in front of DP instead
- 01:32 adirondackrick: I see.
- 01:32 adirondackrick: I couldn't think of a reason why you'd want to drop down to check paradox bottom.
- 01:33 adirondackrick: SO yeah -- in that case, I spent a lot of time worried that the mitts were needed for essentially no reason at all because of that.
- 01:33 Drac: I had the mirror to go back up if I need to, and it really sucked to get back to, so I didn't wanna leave the last exit unchecked
- 01:34 adirondackrick: Yes, it sucked getting back to, which is why I hated dropping down at bumper, finding the elder and it was the lift rock I couldn't get back in.
- 01:34 Drac: yeah I actually never really used the bumper connector, after getting book from pod hs cave was just faster to get into the DW
- 01:35 adirondackrick: So yeah, you had massive boot advantage on me in that case.
- 01:36 Drac: yeah those boots were really nice, and they got me the "early" hammer and glove as well
- 01:37 Drac: well as early as it gets I guess
- 01:37 adirondackrick: Right. Just a case where the right move was to one particular direction and I was later to it.
- 01:38 Drac: pretty much, I just lucked into the correct route in that one and pretty much everything fell into place
- 01:38 adirondackrick: 1:03:40 boots here.
- 01:39 Drac: my only real time-waste was going back into PoD for the back and helmasaur king when I was still looking for SP small+IR, but at that point at was between pod and SP for my last crystal, so I just killed helma for the knowledge

- 01:40 adirondackrick: And I didn't get mirror quickly, 25 minutes in
- 01:40 adirondackrick: Which I know some runners like doing Eastern early vs. not.
- 01:44 Drac: yeah eastern area is always a tough choice cause it's kinda slow for only 6 entrances (including the 2 at lake hylia) and it feels really good being able to combo it with pod area and the mirror, but in my experience that happens very rarely and I try to get my sphere 1 cleared out asap so I don't miss out on an early key item
- 01:45 adirondackrick: Yup, I get that. And mirror is a very key item in this mode.
- 01:45 Drac: well except IR cave area without the glove, those 2 I usually tend to skip unless I have a flute
- 01:46 Drac: and yeah I'd argue mirror is the most important item in this mode cause of all the routing possibilites it opens
