- 08:52 incoherent: I actually had both PoD and DP entrances before DP BK
- 08:52 jkoper: my problem was that I forgot to check Mire entrances
- 08:52 AmazingAmpharos: i knew the remaining entrances had very little
- 08:52 jkoper: so I thought I needed cape to get to mimic ledge
- 08:52 jkoper: I was right that I needed cape to get there
- 08:52 incoherent: for that matter I climbed GT before doing the pyramid because I just decided not to do EDW

- 08:54 jkoper: yeah, I would've finished a lot sooner if I would've thought of the Desert area sooner too
- 08:55 incoherent: I used my time clearing MM for a lamp and a sword to consider my options and realized the mire connector was right there
- 08:55 AmazingAmpharos: i full cleared mire ready to go back to gt to climb
- 08:55 AmazingAmpharos: mire seemed just as good
- 08:55 AmazingAmpharos: after mire was a bust i climbed
- 08:55 AmazingAmpharos: which was also my first trip to the pyramid
- 08:55 AmazingAmpharos: at which time i got tt big
- 08:55 AmazingAmpharos: which was an eye roll moment
- 08:56 AmazingAmpharos: both tr big and dp big eluded me for a long time
- 08:56 jkoper: I also forgot to check the DP torch the first time in there
- 08:56 jkoper: turns out that was important
- 08:56 incoherent: so it turns out that if you follow a connector in the middle of the houlihan opening you can end up on death mountain with no resources and have to skip 3 things

- 08:57 jkoper: this was a terrible seed for Houlihan opening
- 08:57 jkoper: 300 rupees in Sanc, bombs at mushroom
- 08:57 jkoper: pearl and hookshot in Sanc drop
- 08:57 incoherent: early glove was nice I guess but mitts were early and also useless
- 08:57 AmazingAmpharos: mitts were certainly not useless
- 08:58 AmazingAmpharos: i used the kak dw portal a million times
- 08:58 AmazingAmpharos: 194/216 looks like

- 08:59 AmazingAmpharos: because i only had 3 keys when i was in there
- 08:59 AmazingAmpharos: and never went back
- 08:59 jkoper: I had 6 keys and needed 1
- 09:00 incoherent: I appreciated the like 30 minutes straight of dungeon clearing in the middle of the seed
- 09:00 AmazingAmpharos: one of those 194/216 was me grabbing the heart piece in checkerboard cave because i thought the 20 heart dream was still alive

- 09:01 AmazingAmpharos: also fun fact about this seed
- 09:01 AmazingAmpharos: east death mountain in both worlds was completely optional
- 09:01 AmazingAmpharos: i went super late and was very disappointed in what i found
- 09:01 incoherent: I feel like the south part of LW EDM is disproportionately useless
- 09:02 incoherent: but with mitts you could check 3 more useless entrances! efficiency!

- 09:03 AmazingAmpharos: To learn the castle connector you never took was in the TR entrance
- 09:03 AmazingAmpharos: Super efficient clear of nothing
- 09:03 AmazingAmpharos: My saving grace of this seed is I had a really good earlygame
- 09:03 AmazingAmpharos: So I was able to efficiently look everywhere not finding the last few things
- 09:05 incoherent: yeah that's crosskeys sometimes
- 09:05 AmazingAmpharos: Oh yeah, I also wonder where Byrna was; I got a good laugh out of Cape in spike cave
- 09:06 AmazingAmpharos: Like "that doesn't land there super easily in the logic"
- 09:06 incoherent: I momentarily forgot you couldn't take the purple chest into spike cave and decided I'd rather do the in logic thing
- 09:06 incoherent: so that was one of my last few spots after TT that I never had to go back to

- 09:07 AmazingAmpharos: I did spike cave early-ish
- 09:07 AmazingAmpharos: I got Hammer, went straight to full clear Swamp, and then did the two VoO hammer spots before savewarping out of spike cave to do GT stuff
- 09:07 AmazingAmpharos: spike cave was in a convenient spot as I figured it
- 09:08 AmazingAmpharos: Because I wanted to not clear too much more before going to GT, and it was a good endpoint for a savewarp
- 09:09 incoherent: I'd already done Moldorm at that point but got stuck doing hammer pegs, then went back for purple chest, then decided to finish off sphere 1 entrances and found EP and that led me to GT
- 09:09 incoherent: so I just did SP -> IP -> MM -> PoD all in a row
