- 01:29 PrettyDragon77: Yeah, and I found wood sword cave right away which was nice

- 01:30 Ultralavos: still didn’t get mags. Only had 9 hearts 😢

- 01:31 Ultralavos: Oooh. I got the ladder and whistle fairly early. Got my first heart in 8 and went straight to get recorder

- 01:32 PrettyDragon77: i couldn't handle the combat in 8 early
- 01:33 PrettyDragon77: so didn't get the ladder for a bit
- 01:33 Ultralavos: i guess digging 8 early and finding the ladder was pretty clutch

- 01:34 Ultralavos: I found first heart in 3 along with wand then went to whistle. I didn’t dig 2nd item out of 8, but got a bow hint in dead woods and went back after I cleared 4

- 01:35 Ultralavos: i took stairs in 9 to get to Gannon after getting NE hint
- 01:35 PrettyDragon77: my overworld deaths made whistle take a while
- 01:35 PrettyDragon77: never saw that hint
- 01:35 PrettyDragon77: my only hint in 9 was silvers being elsewhere
- 01:36 Ultralavos: yeah those always hurt me. I almost died a few times on the overworld. Took a death to a patra somewhere

- 01:37 Ultralavos: almost as good as “the kidnapped guards the compass”
- 01:37 PrettyDragon77: only 6 deaths when i usually have like 20 though
- 01:37 Ultralavos: heck yeah. Nice

- 01:38 Ultralavos: true. I only died once and I’m usually around 5-12
- 01:39 PrettyDragon77: pretty much no bomb droppers in death mountain though
- 01:39 PrettyDragon77: which lost me a lot of time
- 01:39 PrettyDragon77: especially since i can't screen scroll yet
- 01:39 Ultralavos: oooh. I don’t like that. That’s when you say I have a wand, time to count to 10
- 01:40 PrettyDragon77: i actually got the wand after that
- 01:40 Ultralavos: oh. You hit DM early
- 01:40 PrettyDragon77: not early but semi-early
- 01:40 PrettyDragon77: once i came back down i cleared everything before going back up
- 01:41 Ultralavos: I had six left after finishing 4. Was going grave to w dm to e dm down to candle row, but found 6 in the corner
- 01:41 PrettyDragon77: got mags right before level 9 but you were already done before that
- 01:42 PrettyDragon77: was interesting starting on the any road but it didn't really go far
- 01:42 Ultralavos: screen scrolling is good to work on even if only used on a few key screens. I spent a lot of time practicing. Even though I wasted a lot of time doing it. Once you get it down to where you can do it after 3-5 attempts, it still saves time in a few places.
