If you are using an emulator, please adhere to the following: VBA is banned for the entirety of GB/C speedrunning! BGB and Gambatte on their default settings are recommended.

Additionally, racing with a Super Game Boy (1) is not allowed.

Glitchless: Must beat Wario without using glitches. Timer starts when entering the start pipe and stops on the 3rd hit on Wario 3.

Randomizer: Must beat Wario without using glitches. Upon creating a race room, the Wario's Shoe bot will prompt you to create or set a seed. Available presets include: weekly, easy, medium, hard. All players must use the same seed with the same flags. Timer starts when entering the start pipe and stops on the final hit on Wario 3.

Any%: Must trigger the staff credits. Glitches are allowed. While it doesn't really matter for other categories, this one has to start from a clean save file (all 3 pipes empty) because having data written to other save games affects the topology and behavior of the out-of-bounds area. Timer starts when entering the start pipe and stops when the screen goes from bright to dark after entering Pumpkin Zone 1 with the credits warp glitch active.

All Levels: Must complete every level in the game, then beat Wario. Glitches are not allowed. Checkpoint abuse is allowed. Timer starts when entering the start pipe and stops on the 3rd hit on Wario 3.

1 Button: Must beat Wario while using only one of the face buttons throughout the whole run and without using glitches. Timer starts when entering the start pipe and stops on the 3rd hit on Wario 3.

Small Mario Only: Must beat Wario without using glitches or collecting powerups that change Mario's size. Timer starts when entering the start pipe and stops on the 3rd hit on Wario 3.
