Rules for Main Categories:
- Races use a 30 second countdown. Time starts when gaining control of Samus on Frigate Orpheon. To do this, start the game on the file select screen once the countdown starts and skip the cutscene when the countdown hits -1 second. This is used for accurate RTA timing and splits.
- Timing ends on the first frame of the Essence death cutscene.
- All exploits and glitches are allowed.
- Unless otherwise established by the racers, racers can choose to use their route of choice and do not have to use the same route.
