Randomizer seeds are made using Corruptovania, a fork of Randovania.
In addition, you can also use MrMiguel's MP3 Updates that incorporate a bunch of bug fixes and quality of life improvements. Please refer to the Setup Guide on how to use these updates with Corruptovania.
The randomizer is subject to change once development for Prime 3 has begun on Open Prime Rando.
Category Rules
Timing starts after selecting the difficulty.
Beat the game: Timing stops once you have entered a cutscene, elevator, portal, or teleport that will lead to the credits or Mission Final screen without any further game input.
Miscellaneous Rules
Using MrMiguel's MP3 Updates, by default, is not mandatory. However, every runner must be using the same release of it if they choose to do so.
The only permitted emulator is Dolphin, running on version 5.0 or later. Running the ISO/WBFS on console via a USB Loader is allowed.
To match loading times for USB loaders, the "Speed Up Disc Transfer Rate" setting on Dolphin is allowed. This can be overridden by a category rule.
The usage of Primehack is banned by default, but anyone may choose to use it if all racers agree to it. Please keep in mind that Primehack may be more susceptible to crashes.
ISO inspection/ROM inspection/memory inspection/software reverse-engineering that determines item locations or elevator/teleporter destinations of the race seed prior to or during the race is banned. Save states, fast forward and disabling fog are banned.
Turbo controller functions are banned. However, these functions may be allowed if all racers permit it.
