Racing Rules
The racing community for this game is still maturing. For now, please follow the rules listed below. These are based on the same ruleset that SDR (Skyward Sword Randomizer for the Wii) uses. Unless you are using the "Custom" category, all races must follow these rules:
Allowed Techniques:
* Any trick required by the settings of the randomizer to reach the goal of the race is allowed, and supersedes the allowed/banned lists
* All uses of the Entrance Animation Transfer (EAT) trick
* All forms of entering Lake Floria loading zones (Early Lake Floria)

* Brakesliding
* Clipping into Spiral Charge rocks
* Highflip
* Earth Temple Peg Skip
* Clawshot-Bomb Vineclipping
* Hitting Scaldera's Eye when the boss would normally be in an invulnerable state
* Shooting arrows through the spiked/barbed fences found in the Lanayru Mining Facility, Sandship, and Sky Keep
* Skipping Cutscenes by being in the air or calling Fi
* Whipping bomb flowers to extend the distance you can carry them or to skip uses of the Hook Beetle
* Abusing respawn triggers in the Skyloft graveyard to reach Batreaux's House
* Lava Hop
Banned Techniques:
* Using the Back in Time (BiT) trick in any capacity
* Raising the Gate of Time by any means other than entering the Sealed Temple with the Goddess Harp and Ballad of the Goddess
* Opening the Gate of Time by any means other than Skyward Striking the Gate of Time with the necessary sword
* Opening the double doors in the Temple of Hylia by any means other than collecting enough Triforces to unlock the doors
* Wrong Warping
* All forms of item duplication
* Avoiding crashes with on emulator
* Using emulator-exclusive tools or tricks (such as memory viewers)
Additional Rules:
* After completing a race, you must show the file select screen with the hash and your most recent autosave clearly visible
* Any manual tracker is allowed. All autotrackers are banned unless proven to work when running the randomizer on both a Nintendo Switch console and at least one emulator
* Runners must maintain their own tracker and notes
* All cosmetic settings built into the randomizer program can be used
* Any custom cosmetics can be used as long as they do not provide a racing advantage by using them
