Zelda 1 Randomizer Racetime Rules

The Zelda 1 Randomizer Community is committed to fair play and integrity in all events and spaces we host. Cheating of any kind is strictly prohibited.

Prohibited conduct:

1. Use of unauthorized tools or modifications to gain an unfair advantage. This includes resources used to gain a competitive edge over another that are not first known, approved, and both easily and readily available to everyone.

2. The commonly used trackers, as well as any physical tracker, are allowed as long as the player does the tracking; however, auto-tracking of any kind is not allowed, and if a race mode is available on the tracker, it must be used.

3. Manipulating results or falsifying times.

4. Stream sniping, collusion, or sharing information intended to sabotage another participant.

5. Any method that inspects the ROM is disallowed for any non-spoiler races. RAM watching is disallowed in any race setting.

6. Abuse of any game- or randomizer-specific glitches or programming errors that are not broadly known is not allowed. Egregious abuse may be considered cheating and treated as such. Any glitches or bugs that are unknown should be reported in the Z1R Discord bug-reports channel or using the feedback form if there is a security concern.

The above rules are the default for competitive play unless a race or event expressly uses different rules, in which case default rules that have not been explicitly modified by the event rules still apply.

Allowed tools for Spoiler Log races:

a.Spoiler Log provided by Z1 Randomizer Program

b.Tetraly's Visualizer Tool

Any other tools must be submitted for moderator and admin approval before being allowed in any setting.

All spoiler log races must be completed under the specific race goal.(e.g., Battle Royale or Seed of the Week).

Exceptions to this rule may be made on a case-by-case basis for purposes of working with admin/development for research. Any such use will be announced to the community prior to execution.

Reporting and enforcement

All allegations of cheating must be reported privately to a moderator or administrator. Public accusations with or without evidence are not allowed. The moderation team will review reports confidentially and take appropriate action, which may include but is not limited to disqualification, suspension, removal from community delegations, or permanent bans.

By participating in our community, you agree to uphold these standards of fairness and integrity.
